Travel Forums Introductions Greetings from Trinidad & Tobago

Hi everyone,

So I signed up a couple of months ago looking for information I believe, for travelling to Panama and Cuba, which is unfortunately a trip I didn't go on, but instead I ended up having my parents taking my hard-researched trip, and enjoying themselves thoroughly!
oh well.. Hopefully I'll have that opportunity again some day, and someday soon!

Well, it's only this past week that have I actually been exploring, and trying to figure this travel site out, so I still consider myself learning, and fairly new here!

I just wanted to drop a small line to say hi and introduce myself... I'm a girl :) from the islands of Trinidad & Tobago, Trinidad being where I live. I was born here and raised here to international parents, and have an undying love for travelling and photography - although I haven't done as much travel as I would like or as the majority of people here, and I am no where near as good in photography as many of the photos I've been seeing around, but on both accounts, I try! and that's what matters, right?

All-in-all, the combo of what I enjoy can be found here, so YAY for finding this site

I look forward to being around, meeting people and hopefully helping out in anyway I can!

Well, you would probably be surprised by the number of people here who would say that they haven't done as much travel as they would like... myself among them. And as for the pictures... There are a few folks here who are paid, professional photogs. Hard to be as good as them. All you can do is snap a few shots and hope that something turns out...

Welcome!

Greg

Thanks for the welcome

I guess you're right - everyone's probably wanting to do more travel.. but some of the places people get the opportunity to visit.. OH WOW! I know I'll get there, one day!! I have faith in that much of my dream!! and if only I didn't have to work to collect the pennies, then it would be so much easier!! *sigh*
Until then, I guess reading-up and enjoy peoples stories and adventures will have to do! And of course being grateful for the places that I have already had the opportunity to see!

And I agree with the "snap a few shots and see what happens"... and I do try, like I mentioned but I guess in the end, it's in the "eye of the beholder" or what the viewer perceives..
Ahh well, I do enjoy my hobby, and I do it for me :)
[although, the idea of getting paid for it, is a really really nice one. Hmmmm? ]

haha! it's the BEST!!!
that's one food/meal/snack that may not look appealing but you really have to try it before you bash it!!
(of course some still don't like it, but at least they can say they tried it, right?)

I have so many friends who'd come to visit here and they'd be disgusted by its looks, but once tasted - ooohh they can't get enough! Glad you like!

I'm sure there are so many cases around the world that have that same situation when it comes to the looks of food but that's all part of the adventure, isn't it? ; hmmmm.. I wonder if there's a thread on that?!?!

You probably ended up browsing through the country galleries, which you should know are only the featured photos from the site. For every one of those photos, there are dozens of others that weren't featured, so don't feel intimidated. Consider it a challenge to get a few of your photos featured in there ;) I'm sure you'll manage a few.

Welcome to the site :)
