I am volunteering in Cusco for 4 weeks and after that i want to travel to see friends in Brazil. I was looking at flights and they're pretty pricey. Is there a bus i could get that could take me directly from Cusco to Sao Paulo or Recife. I know it's a lot to ask... Or alternatively does anyone know if such a route is possible by bus.... Cusco-La Paz-Recife?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... or if anyone has any other ideas that would be great.

After i went to Macchu Picchu I went to Lima, flew from Lima to Sao Paulo and then i caught a connecting flight to Recife. After that i worked my way down using buses to Sao Paulo.

Alternatively i found a decent route that you can take through Peru, Bolivia and finally Brasil. Start in Cusco take a bus to La Paz or Puno, then catch a bus to Santa Cruz, Corumba on the Brasilian border or somewhere near Iguazu Falls, Campo Grande and then to Sao Paulo. It should take about 2 weeks i figured.

But i just flew to save time because i only have 3 months to visit friends. Now im further on in my trip. Im in Argentina and i much prefer to take buses.

I hope this helped a little. Have a great trip :)

Good to hear everything worked out alright :) Ive been hearing bout a route like this, that will take me bout 100 hrs/5days. Havnt gotten the prizes yet, but should be a whole lot cheaper :)

Im in argentina now aswell, buenos aires. Its glorius i think :)

Well, take care and thank for reply :)
