Help needed: weekend getway ideas

Hello everybody! This fall, I plan to go to Europe for a weekend (leave Wednesday come back on Monday) and I can't decide which city/place to visit. Places I'm interested are Reykjavik, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Belfast, Spain, Portugal, and I am very open to any other cool cities. Anyhow, what do you guys suggest? I'm interested in reading your ideas and tips about anything and everything.

Some things to think of:
I live in Montreal, Canada,
I prefer going to a western European city because of the shorter flight distances.
I'm going alone and I am single.
I'm 32.
I'd like to stay in accommodations where I can meet other people.

Hmm... I'd say London. While it probably is the most expensive compared to the other cities, many tourist attractions are free. Many hostels where you can meet others. There are also good connections to other UK cities and Paris, so you can fit in another city if you want to. Ok, I live here, so this recommendation may be a bit biased.

Belfast, too small for so many days unless you do Dublin as well. The Giant's Causeway is a must if you go to Northern Ireland.

As for the other cities, I've never been there before so no comment. I know, not much help here!

if you want to really brag when you get home, how about saying to your pals... "Me, oh! I just spent the weekend in Galway, Ireland. What did you guys get up to?"
Fly to Shannon and a short hop to Galway for a really different weekend. Great fun, lots of fantastic bars and restaurants, the city is buzzing, the West Coast, the Aran Islands.....
