...SUCKS!

My portfolio is in Philadelphia, PA, USA
I'm in auckland, NZ

I got to auckland on july 30 my first week here I asked my parents to pack up my suit and my portfolio so I could start looking for a proper design job. they packed it up right away, about a week later I get an email asking for my a copy of my passport, my address, and my mobile number. I give it to them.

two weeks after that (note: I should have the package right about now) I get another email asking for my address and mobile number again. I give it to them again.

a week later I get ANOTHER email asking for my mobile number so they can start the shipping process! again I give it to them.

today I call them to see where my package is at...

NORTH CAROLINA! I'm not even kidding. north carolina. I don't know how many of you know this but North carolina is not on the way to NZ from Philadelphia.

and to top it off it's not leaving until next week. so I probably won't get it for another 3 weeks! I was hoping to get it mid-august now I might get it at the end of september.

ridiculous

Ridiculous aside, this is also very odd. Which courier did your parents use? Why on earth did they want a photocopy your passport for? I can understand why they want your mobile number (in case of non-delivery), but your address?! What's written on the package then? This is the first time I hear a courier asking the recipient for delivery address.
