How to Plan Successful Trip of GOA

Hi Folks,
I am abhishek, I'm making plan for GOA with my few friends(8) for 6-8 days, Now my problem is that I have no knowledge about goa their places, cost etc. etc.
First of all, I have to make plan with low or reasonable budget, I heard if I go Goa in September(therefore I decide to go 19-27 September) i can enjoy very comfortably, I don't want to spend my holiday with multitude,
- What should I do? should I take any package for goa , or go directly with my friends. Who will be the reasonable for my trip?

- If I go directly, how I decide, where should stay, where should go, etc. etc.
- How much could spend in this trip (budget- For Group? For Individual?)
- How to decide the way to go Goa From jabalpur to Goa, and in returning from Goa to shirdi, sani shignapur, (with in a day) and back to jabalpur.

It will be great help for me if u advise me for my Trip

This year I went to Goa for 10 days and had a whale of time and have written about it in detail on my blog but can not give you the link here.
Yes, you can very much do budget travel. Since you are planning a trip in Sep, better to go by train. The route is amazingly beautiful with lots of tunnels as well.
First, let me know what is the purpose of going there. Just relaxation or seeing all the famous churches, museums & beaches. Depending on that I can advise you where to stay.

From Goa to other places you can go by bus and then again train back to Jabalpur.
