Purchase of wet weather gear in Kathmandu

I need a pack away waterproof (and I mean 100%) jacket for my trip, can anyone advice should I buy in Uk before departure or buy in Delhi, Kathmandu or Beijing even?

Pleased to hear again here in this message board. Generally, buying the waterproof jackets would better if you buy in your home town because you won't be able to get the actual quality of jackets here in Kathmandu and even in India the reason is most of the materials come from china.

So, would be worth buying there or if you need little less quality then still you can purchase in Kathmandu as well.
