Hi All,
While I know there are a bunch of hostels listed on hostelworld.com and hostels.com for Budapest, I was wondering there are any you would recommend based on your experience there. Any hostels that should be avoided? PLease do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Pranav

Pranav, have you checked out our new system here on TP? All the properties are rated and most should be mapped as well, so you can see where you need to be close to and the system will automatically show you all the properties that are closest to that point. You can sub-specify only hostels if you like, the above link is to all the budget accommodation (includes apartments, budget hotels etc.).

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Clearly, I have been away from this site for TOO long. I really like the new feature. Thank you very much for the link.

Pranav

Well, there is no excuse for being away so long, haha :) The new system is in public beta (meaning we're still adding things pretty much every week, but everything should work just fine!), so it isn't necessarily terribly obvious from the start. It should be 100% completed within the next 4 to 5 weeks.

Have you looked at apartments in Budapest? We stayed in a fabulous apartment there for only €90 per night in August.. Have a look at www.budarentals.com..
