Just a guess - correct me if I'm wrong - you guys had the munchies while discussing this theory, didn't you? Was there the requisite road trip to McDonalds or Burger King to test it out?

This thing was on the news a few days ago that people thought it would end the world, so tonight they saw the need to tell us that the world didn't end. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a news story so much.

Seems people are more worried about CERN destroying the world than relentless pollution... odd?

Not really. Pollution is doing it at a much slower rate, relatively speaking. CERN was going to do it in a proverbial blink of an eye.

Well, I gotta tell ya, SOMETHING happened, at least here. Our electricity went off then on again....Maybe I should pay the bill.....The dog down the street started to howl and, when we went out to the mall, my GPS wasn't working....Which is NOT good because Sue starts giving me driving instructions.

We stopped at Burger King, they had a two for one sale, and, I swear, the burgers tasted funny..I think it was because of the "Collider"....

THEN...when we got home, the garage door wouldn't open...Seems the battery in the door opener died. I think it was because of the "Large Hadron Collider!"

Maybe , if they'd used a Small Hadron Collider it might not have killed my garage door opener....By the way, it wasn't a dog howling.....It was the lady down the street yelling at her husband. Seems he forgot to take out the garbage......See, it was garbage pick up day and......Oh,Oh......

Maybe it did end Isa and we are now in purgatory?

Quoting Brendan

Maybe it did end Isa and we are now in purgatory?

Let's hope that's the case as it would explain a lot of things today.

Yeh, it would explain my cold too.

I was yipping with some folks on a Sci FI TV show I work on about the LHC...Told them about the flat earthers' idea about the Pocket Black Hole and the "rending the EARTH'....It became a little bit of a tempest in a teapot...We had spent so much time making Sci Fi that he possibility was plausible....

...Strangely, we are all still here....Doesn't mean the stalwart military aren't fighting the black hole, though..

Well turns out they haven't actually crossed protons yet. They have only still done calibration and testing. So we still have a chance of eternal doom.

I'd really like to go there and check it out!
