Greece

Hi,

I (and a few other family members) will be heading to Europe in the first week of December in which our first destination will be Athens, Greece. For those of you who have been to Greece, what sites would you recommend we see? We will however only be there for 3 days.
My sister is interested in Greek cooking so if anyone is familiar with certain areas that are good or well known for tradition/regional cooking, I would love to hear from you.

Any suggestions at all on Greece would be great :-)

My ideal 3 days in Greece is probably 1 full day in Athens, 1 day inland and 1 day at one of the Saronic islands - they are close enough to get to as a day trip from Athens - Aegina maybe?

In Athens the main attraction in the acropolis/parthenon, but I'm sure you were aware of that. The Plaka area is nice to wander around, and a good place to eat out in the evening.
