kapokki has indicated that this thread is about Portugal

We will visit Azores on october 23.- 28. 04 Ponta Delgada. We are going to hike, and we will not rent a car. We will take a bus. Where can we find the bus timetable?

Is it probable, that the weather is very rainy then? Describe the weather!

I think the weather will be great in October. Of course, it doesn't hurt to bring a rain jacket, but I'm sure you'll be fine. As far as the bus timetable, I'd check at the airport when you arrive. They've got a great information desk there and it will be easier than trying to find it after you've left the airport. I don't think they're posted on the bus stop signs.

One word of advice: why not rent a car? My wife and I rented a small jeep at the airport and traveled the island that way. At the time, we lived on Terceira, but Sao Miguel is more large and steep. YOu really need a car to see all parts of the island. Don't forget to check out Furnas (village in the middle part of the island). Incredible views. Email me directly if you'd like to see some photos.

Hello Steve!

Thank You for your answer to me.

"why not rent a car?"
This is our first visit Azores and we have only a few day time, unfortunately.
One or two days walk around at Ponta Delgada. I don't need a car.
1 - 3 times we are going to hike and I think that I try go by bus or perhaps a taxi
We don't have time to do around all island. :(

I bought a Sunflower landscapes Azores book. In English. I try understand what I am reading..

It would be nice to see Your photos.
