Travel Koh phangan from Kuala Lumpur

Hi buddies,

I have planed to travel Koh Phangan for full moon party. What is the best affordable way to travel Koh Phangan from Kuala Lumpur. If anyone has travel before, kindly do share for new travellers.............

I don't think you can go directly from Kuala Lumpur to Ko Phangan but I suppose you can fly with Malaysian or Thai airways from KL to either Krabi/Phuket or even Ko Samui and take a bus and then boat from there.
Alternatively, cross the Malaysian/Thai border overland and take a bus/train up north to get to Surathani from where boats leave to Ko Phangan.
