hi everyone! i am an older male who will be traveling on buses and trains. will not be doing any camping at all however i do have a couple of questions.

1. should i take a sleep sack along even though i will be staying in budget hotels?

2. does anyone know of a large daypack that would be good for lets say 4 to 7 days trip? you know without any frame that i could put a lot of stuff in but could still fit overhead on a bus? or am i going to have to go for a backpack rather then a daypack? im leaning towards a daypack because its so much easier. does anyone out there know which daypacks would be good for my situation? thanks.

confused?

Where are you going? Climate makes a big difference when it comes to what and how to pack.

I always stay in "budget" hotels when I travel and have never taken a sleep sack. I say don't bring one. Someone else may have another opinion, but I think all hotels provide bedding. It'd be different if you were staying in hostels.

I'm not sure how you're differentiating between a "daypack" and a "backpack." What makes the daypack easier than a backpack? If you can explain, we might be able to provide a better answer.
