Hi,

I'm from the UK and I'm hoping to plan a trip to Poland for my birthday, which is mid January. I was wondering whether anyone could advise me where abouts in poland would be best at this time of year.

We are hoping to stay 4 days and were orginally planning to stay in Krakow, to see the Smok and Auchschwitz and maybe even a trip to Zakopane etc

However, we are open to other suggestions?

I visisted gdansk a long time ago and enjoyed it but I assume this would be quite a summery destination?

Also, what kind of weather can we be expecting in Poland in January?

I know it will be cold but would trips to the mountains in Zakopane still be feasable? Or will there be snow drifts everywhere?

Will public transport be reliable in winter?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Bloss x
