In a couple of weeks am heading to France for a year or so, going to be walking, taking the bus, bike, sleeping under bridges and all the likes. Have planned in a small way somethings but leaving most of it up to chance, I think and know its going to be a great time to rebuild and find that centre.

if anyone's about, or a student in France and wants to show me around, or if you know places i can work (EU member) just hit me back with a message on here, ill be in london from next week for a week then Paris for the journey.

Look forward to hearing from you all

What's wrong with this post by Honeythorn?! I do not read anything inflammatory, promotional, etc.
I reckon i'm not the only one who thinks so. If this expectation is wrong, too bad. If not, pse let the forum know.
In my view, the word- and thought-policing on this site frequently becomes a little too strict.

Hi Amorphis, you're right, there's nothing wrong with Honeythorn's post. It was the response that was clearly spam and it has been removed. We have fairly basic rules, primarily targeting spammers. We certainly don't want to discourage genuine posters like Honeythorn and yourself from contributing.

Incidentally, the flagging of posts is done by the members of this site - moderators are then alerted to those posts to decide if the flagging was worthwhile. Sometimes people accidentally will flag innocent posts, but usually the members doing the reporting have a pretty good idea of what is appropriate on here and what isn't. In this case, the response to the thread was flagged by a member and then upon checking, I agreed and removed the response.

Ok, back to the original question. Hopefully you can get a few good answers Honeythorn
