Hi All,

Going on a RTW trip with my Girlfriend March '09, just booked the tkts this week...yeah!!!

But can anyone advise us about booking our "surface" sectors - do we book them now, or locally when we get there??

Main concerns are:
Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Delhi: by train
Delhi - Goa: by plane
Mumbai - Kolkata: by plane

Bangkok - Chiang Mai: by train
Bangkok - HCMC: by plane
HCMC - Han oi: by plane

Perth - Adelaide: by plane

What ya' think??

Thanks
David

If u having finalised the schedule why not book the train tickets for Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi sector. Indian railways has a comprehensive rail network and online booking facility is also available at www.irctc.co.in

Also if u fail to book the tickets then also i wont be a problem as the places u intend to visit involve short distance travelling, tickets of which are relatively easy to book even a few days before the actual date of travel.

Regarding the place tickets, if u book in advance u can get a better deal. The major domestic airlines are:
www.jetairways.com
www.flykingfisher.com
www.indian-airlines.nic.in

Hope this helps:)

Just to add what Arif has already mentioned about Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Delhi sector.

March end is not totally lean period so booking in advance is the best option to make the journey tension free but since these places are at short distance, even if you don't get a train tkt when you land in India, you are sure to get luxury bus tickets.
