Hello, I'm really looking foward to moving to england after college. I was wondering if i could have a little help on where might be the best place to live? I like small towns, but a city close by would be fantastic. Thanks for your help!

Hi Rezza,
The list is endless I'm afraid, but as a 'northerner' I would recommend the towns in Lancashire, with Liverpool and Manchester never too far away for shopping or a night out.

Stevieh obviously lives in Lancashire! I am equally biassed but my suggestion would be somewhere like Otley with easy access to Leeds, Bradford or the Yorkshire Dales. I live in Yorkshire, you see.
Cheers, David

It's a difficult question to answer. What type of towns do you like in your home country? Will you be buying/renting a car or relying on public transport? Is nightlife important, or would you prefer interesting history (or both)? Do you enjoy hillwalking and outdoor pursuits?

I'm pretty sure that I will be renting a car, walking, or public service until I settle in. A beautiful landscape would be nice, with a city close by would be great, nighttlife does come into factor, especially out on the night with a fine ladie.;)
