Shopping around the Airport -Bangkok

Hi All,

I'm taking a flight from Phuket to Bangkok and then Bangkok to Mumbai. My stop over at BKK is 6 hours. Can you guys help with any places close to the airport that I can shop at during the stop over? How far is MBK and the other malls from the airport?

Depends on the time of day, how bad traffic is. If you take a metered taxi to Om Nut skytrain station, and then on from there to the Siam skytrain stop for the malls (that's on the same line), you have a good chance of doing it in under ~60 minutes, though bad traffic could easily add another 15-30 minutes on top of that, or even more during the worst of rush hour.
