English speakers on working holiday in Germany?

Travel Forums Europe English speakers on working holiday in Germany?

marsha has indicated that this thread is about Germany

Has anyone had experience with working holidays in Germany?
We're English speakers learning basic German now, who would ideally want to work near/around ski fields this season, any kinds of un-specialised jobs.
Anyone else done this before? Any suggestions of good towns to try? What kinds of jobs might be available for foreign travellers?
We were really looking at Garmisch area, Bavaria - but would be keen to hear your tales of what/where you tried - on the ski-slopes or if you started out in a bigger city.

Thanks heaps Stuart!
Was cool to finally read about someone else trying a working ski-season in a new country.
I was starting to worry that maybe no one else attempted working holiday's in/around that area - it's been rare so far to find any personal advice or personal accounts of folk who have done it.
If anyone else has got inside stories or tips for what it was like for them, I would love to hear them! I'm a bit nervous about how hard it's going to be to find work, I'm not going to take loads of money with me so it'll be a bit of a gamble.
All part of the adventure tho, I guess.....!
