Issy,
No, I never did raft the Wolf River. My Bonduel buddy almost died on the Wolf back in the 90s. He and his friend went down the Wolf via canoe. Long story short, it tipped over and Chip had to hang on to an overhanging branch for almost an hour before rafters came along and rescued him. Chip showed me his letter to his rescuers and their reply. Pretty close thing he told me.

I have been down the Colorado River, both in Colorado and through the Grand Canyon. I also have some photos of my San Juan River trip via sport yak in my gallery. That was memorable. Now that I no longer visit Shawano, a Wolf River trip seems unlikely. Add the fact that my body is a bit worse for wear, another raft trip is doubtful.

I wish I had the bank account to foot the bill for you and the 'beerman' to visit Vegas. Unfortunately, I do not. It increasingly looks like I will outlive my money, unless I die before Christmas. I will be fine if I 'pass over to the the side' soon. I do think reincarnation is the way things work here on planet Earth. No proof, just seems thats the way it works. Hope so as I am not all that thrilled with the 'big sleep' in a small box. Kind of a sad topic for me this summer. My dad passed away and then one of my HS buddies passed as well. He almost made 60, but sadly, he did not make it. Brain tumor. Not such a good summer for VM.

On a much happier note, I want to report that I got a FREE! movie on Tuesday. We saw 'Eagle Eye'. Wow, what a rollercoaster ride of a movie. Intense, exciting and keeps your interest until the end. Thumbs up! from me. Got to go, VM.
