Hi to all,

so i'm new to this forum.....but i'm gonna' ask all you lovely folks to share some info with me. I am a photography student and would eventually like to get into travel photography as a career once i'm done my schooling. It is getting more and more obvious that to be successful as a photographer, my toolbox of skills and equipment needs to have as many options as possible. aka. Digital as well as traditional film. So.......what is a good digital SLR? What names and models are trustworthy? Which ones are duds? What are some fantastic things? What are some frustrating issues? I already have a Canon Rebel G. Does anyone have both a film and digital Rebel? Are the lenses fully compatible with either? Thanks for your time and thoughts. have a great day!
