I was reading the Eyewitness travel guide to Bali and under the "What to wear" section, it says that rubber flip-flops are considered not polite.
I was rather suprised by this. C'mon, it's Bali!

Everyone I've ever seen on Bali has wore rubber flip flops, even the locals! That bit of advice seems strange! |
