Log Cabins, Canada ??

Hey All,

Does anyone know of a log cabin to stay at that's fairly close to Toronto. We don't mind a few hours driving to somewhere... we'd prefer something a bit remote.

We're on a budget and can't go for anything too luxurious. And we're wanting to stay in December.

I hope someone can help... after hours of searching on google i've given up

I've stayed at this hostel inside Algonquin Provincial Park....its a great place to explore Algonquin and it has log cabins in a dorm style which I stayed in and I believe they have private cabins as well.....they have a sauna too!
If you explore Algonquin Park I recommend the Lookout Trail hike!
There are tonnes of cottage and cabin rentals in the cottage country area so you shouldn't have a problem finding something!

thanks ellie... we are now looking at accommodation around algonquin park. we are finding lots on this website http://www.cottage-resort.com/ontario-algonquin.htm so we're working our way through the list trying to find one that's available...
