We had an early morning flight from Pisa last October (2007) and decided to leave the hire car back around 2300 and stay in the airport. Unfortunately, as you probably know, they close the airport for about 3 hours in the early hours. It was not too cold (around 13-15C) but it is October and you could get any type of weather, barring actual freezing!

There is a open-air bar area that has a canopy if it is wet. However, I suspect it could get very crowded. More here:

I suggest a fleece and windproof, and have something handy to rest your head.

All the best,

Peter

HI Peter, yes I've visited that website your posted numerous times in the past few years and noticed a few months go that there had been an update. My flight lans into Pisa at 2325 and they close the airport once the last flight has taken off. I opened at 4am.

OK glad there is a canopy. I fly to Constanta for 2 euros return including taxes and then can check out Florence and Pisa!

Cheers!
