My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Croatia, starting in Zagreb travelling down the coast and leaving from Dubrovnik. We would like to travel the country by campervan but can't find a company that hires out campervans, does anyone know of any? Otherwise we'll do it by car.
Also, we were thinking of maybe hopping across to Bosnia for 2/3 days, has anyone done this? Is it pretty simple or is it worth a seperate trip altogether?
good plan. The drive between Zagreb and Split is particularly lovely in the mountains. I'd find a nice village on the way and stop off for a night, sample some local food and wine etc, maybe Knin (pretty historic too).
Camper hire in Croatia I know little about but I've found this site that may help
I don't know anything about it but have a go.
I would definitely spend a little time in (BH) Bosnia and as you'll pass through it on your way to Dubrovnik (on the Magistral Highway from Split) you might as well stay a while. It's cheap and really friendly too.
Any specific questions feel free to PM me.
Thanks for your help!
I looked at the website but it's still way too expensive, so looks like we'll have to hire a car and maybe do some camping.....
Hoping to nip to Bosnia too, might as well as we are heading that way.
