Route around asia???

I am travelling to Bangkok in mid oct, and i plan to go to VN, Cambodia and Laos. I need help planning my route? I don;t want to miss anything but i know that i will have to fly some parts of journey. Is there a best way???

There's not really a "best" way because it depends on how long you have to travel and what you want to see. But generally, if you have about 2 months, the standard route is something like: Bangkok - Siem Reap - Phnom Pehn - HCMC - up through Vietnam to Hanoi - Vientianne - Chiang Mai - Bangkok. This is of course just the main stops, there's loads to see along the way and the route can be extended or bits cut out.

Thankyou, i have about three months so i should be able to see a bit along the way...
I will keep reading and look at this route. Thanks for your help, it gives me start

The other popular route is Bangkok to Chiang Mai then through to Laos on the slow boat. In Laosthe slow boat takes you to Luang Prabang - then bus travel to Vang Vieng - bus to Vientiane then do the bus journey to cross to Vietnam. Go south through Vietnam and then from HCMC to Cambodia, I think most buses go to Phnom Penh. You can then travel onwards to Siem Reap, once finished there cross back to Thailand by bus or fly, whichever you prefer.
