A working RTW

Lotsa people do RTW travels, but does anyone work their way around the world? I've been looking into the idea and being from NZ, could work (reasonably easily with visas where applicable) in Aussie, USA, Canada and the UK. I'd also like to include Europe and SE Asia in my travels, but just figure working where I can would fund the trip rather nicely. Has anyone done this? Any advice?
:)

A lot of people on RTW trips from Europe travel for three months, then work for 6 months in Australia/New Zealand to replenish their funds, and then travel for three more months.

I'm not certain if I'd want to plan my RTW trip based purely on ability to work. There's so many other appealing destinations right nearby where you can't work... You also have to take into account that there's always some "overhead" with the transition from travelling to working lifestyle. Finding a job, finding a place to stay for more than a few weeks, etc. That definitely tends to make people prefer one or two long stints of working to save up, and then travelling carefree the rest of the way.

You're right, I wouldn't plan the trip based on places to work, theres too many other places to see as well....I just thought if I could break up the travelling with working every so often it might provide a nice balance?? Spose its just one of those things you have to get in and do ;)
