I am planning a trip round Stockholm, Helsinki and Tallinn preferably all by boat.

I was planning around three days in Sthlm and two days in Helsinki.

I am particularly interested in Tallinn and good hotels there. Any tips?
And how many days would you calculate for Tallinn? I was thinking again three days as I have heard many good things about that city!

How safe is actually Tallinn? I have gained the impression that travelling alone there should be no problem nowadays but wanted to check up here anyway!

Best wishes and thanks!

Hotell Central is good.
I think that Tallinn is safe place by day. But near shoppingcenter like "Merekeskus" and port are allways dishonest peoples .
By night, don't drink alcohol too much. Don't walk alone garden by night

I like Tallin . Old City is very nice place.

Two or three days is good time visit Tallinn.

Best luck!

Glad to hear you are interested in visiting Tallinn, the capital of my home-country !
I think you are going to like this city, old town is really lovely, i do love it and you`ll certanly find many interesting places outside of city-centre too.
About accommadation- have a look on the site - choose the link accommadation , under regions you`ll find Tallinn . There you can find any kind of accommadation and many of the hotels do have their own websites.

For a quick virtual tour visit

And for more information a tourist will need , have a look

Have a nice time over in Estonia ! :):)

Best regards,

Thought of sharing my experience of my travel to Estonia in JUne last year. Was travelling on nite train from St Petersburg to Estonia. I was denied entrance to Estonia at the custom on grounds that I did not bring my travel insurance papers with me. My nationality did not require to apply for visa to Estonia.

So, you may want to double-check on the 'entry requirements' to this country. You may want to bring along your insurance papers...

Best wishes, S.
