New Years Eve

Travel Forums General Talk New Years Eve

I've just found out I'm going to be spending New Years Eve alone and I'm not looking forward to it! I can only get a week off work cos I plan on going to NZ for a month later in the year. I'd be interested to know the best (and fairly cheapish) places to go to have a good time seeing in the New Year when you're single and all you're friends have other plans:( I live in the UK so Europe would be the best place I think.... But I just don't want to spend it staring at the clock and watching some cheesy TV show!!! Lots of you have already helped me out in another thread, so thanks in advance :)

Maggie

I know how you feel, im in my 40's and it is hellish, my 2 kids are older now and do there own thing.
This will be my best new year every, ill be in Sydney, with lots of other travellers ive meet from here. And its going to be one almighty party.

I think Barcelona is a good city to vist, i was there on my own in june, there is plenty action there, so i recommend there.

Well for the past few years i have had no fun on new year as there are never any partys near by and no one i know are throwing them so i usually stay in and watch tele or read a book. But now i got a chance to celeibrate new year for 3 days as i am moving to Gran Canaria.

I do not know of anywhere good to go so i can not help you ther as i have not travelled for long before and this will be the first propper traveling i have done.

hope you enjoy your travels.

Hi George,

I lived in Gran Can for 10 months last year, in Playa del Ingles. Where are you going to stay and where you going to work? You will have a great time - it is like one long party though and at times you will be knackered!!! Have fun

Trish ;)
