Hi there,

I am arriving in Nairobi on the 26th October and travelling solo.

I wish to spend around 4 days on a Safari tour, staying in luxury lodges or camp sites.

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a tour operator they've used. Do not give me adverts please.

Also, is it easy to find something good when in Nairobi, or should I try and book online first?

Thanks a lot for all your help,

Tony.

This is not an advert but I've used Star Travel in downtown Nairobi every time. They're helpful and will fit you in with an organised safari if you're travelling solo. You'll find them on the internet. Tell them Brendan from Ireland sent you.
As for staying in Nairobi I'd book something first. It's not the greatest city for walking around in with a backpack looking for a bed late a night. Once you're there and have a place it's easy find somewhere then.

My sister has just come back from a safari and she went with Rainbow Tours who she said were excellent. She actually went to Tanzania but they do Kenya and other countries too. She was on honeymoon so stayed in luxury lodges and said everything was really well organised. She went on the recommendation of another friend who had also done safari with them.
