Hey Noel,

In Memphis there is the Pilgrim House Hostel (http://www.pilgrimhouse.org/) in The First Congregational Church in Midtown. I haven't stayed there, but friends from Japan told me that it was great. There is also the deCleyre Co-op (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=185138922) which is a unique place with a really mellow vibe.

It's very easy to travel in Memphis, with extensive bus and trolley systems.

Cheers.

[b] Why in the world would you want to stay in a hostel. There are many travel lodges and motels which are very cheap
for one night stays and weekly rates. The higher priced hotels offer great discounts in the winter.
From Nashville to Memphis, you only have one Interstate Highway to drive on,going West for maybe four hours or so.Its
not a big deal for great places to eat.Mostly you eat in the cheaper restaurants and even Fast Food ,if you wish.
There is no problem of not finding something to your liking, without a lot of fuss.
Enjoy. You wish more information,in detail, leave a message. Jim

Sorry to intrude again. I will state now,for the record. There is nothing easy about driving in Memphis,or any city in
the states, and also especially Nashville. Take it from a ,Trucker. Me! Thanks Jim
