italy - average spending amount per day?

hi!

i was wondering, for anyone that went through italy, what are average prices like? for hostels, food, transport, the like. i'm trying to get a vague average spending amount per day in mind. i'm unexpectedly going to italy for two weeks, and it's thrown me off a bit. anyone have an idea?

Minimum budget should be around 50 EUR per day and person. Some people have managed to scrape by on 35 EUR per day and person, but that was with sleeping in a tent on a camping site and skipping meals. If you want to stay in budget hotels and eat out in restaurants be prepared to pay a lot more. Especially Florence and Venice are expensive, a budget hotel in Venice can run 120 EUR per night.
