HI all im in serious need of help - basically im sick of britain and sick of working full time for a crap wage. Next time i get paid im going to just leave and go any where in europe and want to travel all over while doing work at the same time. Anybody who could give me advice on how to go about doing this and where i could get work would be much appreciated.
Oh join the club!!!
Lots of questions though, where in Europe, are you qualified for anything in particular, what, if anything, are you prepared to do, would you still be willing to work for crap money if it were abroad?..that sort of stuff.
You could try getting yourself a copy of 'Work your way around the world' for inspiration. Not much help, I am sorry, but its a very broad question.
Now if anyone can tell me how I can work my way around Africa..then I am all ears!
Absolutely any where at all in Europe for any money ! i just really need to know if it is possible to do it really - i really would do any work
Afaik, you can get help finding a job through your local unemployment bureau in other UN nations. There are loads of places in Europe that are really expensive though, you might want to consider doing some more planning =P
It won't get any better in other parts of Europe.
If you are sick of the pay you get now in the UK, wait until you are down in Spain picking strawberries or washing dishes.
When you are in a country where you do not speak the language you got to take the most menial jobs in order to survive. If cleaning dishes is unappealing to you, wait until you have tried cleaning toilets and had to consider yourself lucky to get this job.
As a UK citizen you can always get social welfare and benefits when you are unemployed in the UK, this is not the case in the other EU countries. Exceptions apply, but that is the gist of it.
Plus you have picked a bad time to travel without any money or with planning to work your way around - most people hit the road in spring, taking a tent and a sleeping bag so that they do not have to spent money on accomodation.
Why not try Austalia or New Zealand? I presume you are a British citizen so if you are under 30 you can get a working holiday visa pretty easily. at least then you won't have the language barrier when looking for jobs.
