Hey there,

I'm travelling with 3 mates to europe in july next year and was wondering how far in advance we need to book accommodation in ibiza and the greek islands...we will be in ibiza during july and the greek islands late july and early august. Any help would be great!!

Thanks
Phil

If you don't mind the average holiday apartment, there's no panic - you could book a few months in advance and still find something. But if you're looking for a 'special' place, you'll need to book soon as you're going right in peak season.

Thanks for that! We're pretty happy with your average holiday places...we're all 20 year olds so as long as its a place to sleep and nearby we're happy. Do you find that accommodation is cheaper if you book more in advance though?

Well, there's a bit of a price curve. If you book well in advance you stand a good chance of finding a cheap place. Things get slowly more expensive as you get nearer the time (as the cheaper places get booked up). Then, right at the last minute, unsold places are discounted. So sometimes you can find very cheap accomodation very close to the time - but you run the risk of there being none at all if it's all booked up.

Also, assuming you're in Ibiza for the night life - some of the big clubs and Bora Bora aren't really within walking distance from either Ibiza town/San Antonio anyway so there's no huge deal if you don't get a "prime location". A few months I think is fine.
