Travel Forums Asia Advice for a beginner who has no idea!!!

Hi,

I am in Japan at the moment and in January will be starting my travels. I have never traveled before so i really have no idea what i'm doing.....

I am continuing to read up, but i think advice is the way to go!

I am planning on getting a boat to China, then from China to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, then India, after India onto Europe till i run out of money. i'm worried because of the time as India starts getting rough from May time. Also i have about 3000 pounds to do it!

Is all this possible on my feeble budget and can i get to India before June without rushing too much?

Oh, i have joined couch surfing, so i'm hoping this will save me some money.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You should be fine on £3000 right up until you hit Europe, then just watch the rest of your money disappear in a puff of smoke the first time you buy a beer or try to get a hostel.

Anyone have any advice with regards to stretching money in Europe?
