I'm arriving in Auckland in mid-january 09, and was wandering if anyone can offer advice on hostels. I am looking to book a weeks accomodation before i arrive. I want to book a big hostel, preferably with a bar or club, and have a good party for the first few days, before I do the sensible thing and look for a job! Im thinking of either the nomads fat camel, auckland central base, or queen street backpackers. I dont mind how noisy they are, as i want to meet as many people as possible, as i will be travelling on my own. I have stayed in the serpent in cairns before, and that is a nomads. I enjoyed my stay there, so am leaning towards the fat camel.
Any help would be great
