Prebooking in Thailand for late Nov

Travel Forums Asia Prebooking in Thailand for late Nov

Martino has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

I'm off to thailand for 2 weeks from 19th Nov - 4th Dec. I was hoping to head down to ko tao to do some diving around 21st Nov. Do you think it would be wise to pre book my accommodation and dive school or should it not be too busy at the end of nov? Also any advice on really lively dive schools / accommodation for younger travellers (24) and places to go out would be appreciated.

There's a full moon on phag-nan on 26th Nov so I may head over there. What are my chances of pre-booking a hut on the island the night before? Will places take bookings? As I'm only travelling for 2 weeks I can stretch my budget a bit for a few nights. Any recommendations for phag-nan?

Also - Ko Lanta - Any views on this place? Is it quite a lively place with lots of decent bars? I need to head for places where it's easy to meet people.

Thanks Mart

No need to prebook anything. But from Nov to April, it is storm and rainy season in Samui/Koh Tao. Better go to Phuket/Krabi.

I think Ko Lanta is not too lively...the last time we went, it was quiet, with some isolated resorts, maybe I didn't go to the right place, but it was very chill...

Phuket will be very very lively...

Why you forgot Surin Islands? Very lively and good time to dive. You can stay at new resort or nice bungalow around Khoa Lak beach. From there..you can go to Similan Islands either.

Not too far from Phuket to visit Raja Island too. You can also enjoy some dive around Shark Point , Hin Muang or shipwrek ...

wow..enjoy your trip
