I know I'm not going to get much of a response, if any, on this subject but I'm still giving it a shot. I've been toying with the idea of taking a half-day culinary class in Paris at the end of this year but most of the sites I've searched show rather 'astronomical' prices for even one-HOUR lessons. They range anywhere from 100 Euros 500 Euros.

Does anyone know of personal websites of Parisians who are giving such classes at 'affordable' and erm, 'homely' rates? Thanks, guys!

Try this one. It sounds like fun if you are looking for home cooking and includes the chance to shop in the markets. Cost seems to be 68 Euros. http://www.saveurs-aromes.com/content/view/40/46/

I also found a few links to sites offering cooking classes. It doesn't look like you have to spend what you were expecting.
