Hey will be in miami on the 10th december to the 14th, can anyone advise me if the clubs there are hard to get into? ie. do you have to wear those shiny shoes and swank clothes..... I get into miami on my bday and wanted to go clubbing!

Miami is home to a lot of models--and most of them live in the South Beach area where all the major clubs are. As a result, guess who gets into the clubs the easiest--answer: the hottest looking women, especially if there are a bunch of them all together.

My advice is either dress to impress, or else try to hook up with a couple of these ladies (or even just one) prior to heading to a club--like maybe meet at the beach, at a restaurant, or at the airport flying in. You don't have to be dating anyone, you can just explain that you want to go to a great club--and that as an out-of-towner, maybe they could show you where to go. Then, with them in tow--hopefully you'll get moved up to the front of the line. Then, once in the club, if there are sparks, you can hang out with them--and if not--then you can cruise the club and find your own entertainment.

Yes, clubs are hard to get into and Calcruzer gave you some great advice. But even if you are with the ladies, you still need to be dressed to the nines. As far as what to wear? Just ask the store owners for help, but don't let them sell you something you don't want. There are stores everywhere, but make sure to check them out off the main strip too. They should offer similar style clothes, but with more reasonable prices . If you're buying a whole outfit, it's also possible to negotiate prices or ask for a discount if it's a privately owned shop.

Wish I could give you some recommendations, but I can't on this site, so again just ask around for places both in Downtown Miami and South Beach. Cab drivers can be helpful too! Another idea: ask about restaurants that have a lounge/club attached. The idea is to have dinner and then get a pass to get into the club.

Good luck and have fun!
