afternoon all. I applied for my oz working visa over 3 weeks ago. i filled it out fully and paid about £80 to apply. i have a small criminal record that consists of 2 fines no time spent in custody. they questioned this and since then iv had no information on where i am. iv been told to log in at http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/417/index.htm. to check the progress of the visa but it doesnt seem to work.typical

im a fully qualified plumber and have big hopes of having a good year in oz workign hard and playing harder...im pretty impatient when waiting for things like this

is it maybee worth ringing them up...sending more emails or holding tight

Drop them an email with the subject as URGENT they do get answered quicker that way ;)

Mine got approved within 10 mins of applying, but you should be ok.......

Sure people with more knowledge will be on soon to tell you more. Where abouts are you planning going first ?

That is the dry season , not sure when the wet season starts though Nov time I think may be wrong though

Dry season is usually april/may until september/october, but this varies a bit from year to year. When you're in Darwin, don't forget to go down to Litchfield National Park - it was a highlight of my trip.

Dry season/wet season applies in Cairns too, as you get further south it gets milder.
