like me getting all the way there for them to not allow me in the country or something ive never traveled b4 and kinda worried that i would get tricked out or something

I have never heard of anyone being refused entry with a whv. in theory it could happen as they have a right to refuse you entry, but as long as you have the sufficient funds (never heard of them checking though) and you haven't made any false declarations on your application you should be fine.

have fun and don't worry! :)

how much i envy u, those citizens of the UK,EU, USA, Canada:)

today my application for a visa to NZ was declined and i got refused a visa....

sometimes i wish i was not a russian or was just rich not to overcome all these obstacles and not to be looked at as a potential lawbreaker (to marry the 1st foreigner to become a citizen of another country and therefore escape from russia in search for el dorado:)) but alas its so difficult to get a visa to many countries...

NewbieRus: :( That sucks. Do you have any options open for appeal?

(And yeah, I don't think we Europeans realize often enough how lucky we are to live in a world that effectively is without borders; where we can go pretty much anywhere our whims take us... Give it another century, and if we didn't manage to have destroyed the world by then, everyone might be that lucky...)

i m not going to appeal since i have lost enough money already, and i know that i ll be refused anyway....

they just cant believe i may be given a work leave because i ve been working with this company for 6 months only (thou my boss has signed a few papers telign them that he allows me to take a leave), that i may afford this trip (just cant underatnd that i may save money cause i like travelling..just cant understand that a single 25 year old woman does not necessarily have intentions to run way from russia and not return home if she has no 3..or maybe 5 kids for them is better!:) yeah these arguments are their explanation of why i dont "meet their policy's requirements":)

so yes u shoudl be grateful to yr government at least for open borders:)
