Visa Query: Uk-Europe visit

Hi,

I am an Indian national planning for my honeymoon in January 2009. I have a week long holiday, entering and leaving Heathrow and proceeding over to Paris and beyond.

I also have a confirmed business visit to the UK in December 2008 and would therefore be possessing a multiple-entry business visa at the time of my honeymoon. My wife is a homemaker and would therefore need my financial support during the trip.

1. Would I need a tourist visa for the UK despite having a business visa?

2. Can I file a visitor visa for my wife with me as the sponsor?

3. In case I reduce my stay in the UK to just 48 hours on entry and exit each, would I be able to use the less-stringent transit visa?

I tried scouting for information on several websites and forums, so I'd appreciate any help in this regard.

If I'm not mistaken, transit visa is only valid on the airside, which means you are not allowed to leave the airport.
