Hello,

I would like to know if a British person can easily apply for a tourist L visa for China in Vietnam, Thailand of Laos?

No problem in Thailand. Countless travelers end up arranging Chinese and other Asian visas in Bangkok. You can go to the embassy directly, or you can make it easy on your self and apply through one of the many travel agents on Kao San Road who will take care of everything for you.

the embassy in Laos can help you...

the agencies might tell you that the policies created for the Olympics era is still observed, but its not true...

You dont need airfare tickets and accomodations... you can get in through land travel.

As for Thailand... you better call the embassy.
