Hi cheekyem, I think you should give more information on your trip in order to get useful answers. How long are you staying? Are you driving or using public transportation? What time of the year are you planning to visit? If you are traveling between cities public transportation should be fine but if you are planning to visit small but worth-seeing towns then it might be a problem. Most people seem to have cars in the States and public transportation can be a bit too problematic. In New England you should definitely visit New York and Boston. If you are coming in winter and like winter sports then you should visit Vermont. Western Massachusetts is a good place to visit if you like small town life with history and natural beauty. I think best time to visit is October and beginning of November when trees change color but it is also beautiful in spring. As I said, if you give more information I can try to be more useful |

As said Em it depends where you are starting and how you are planning to get around. |

I'm a HUGE fan of Washington DC and strongly recommend you spend several days there. Check out the minor along with the major Smithsonian Museums. There's an amazing, yet seldom visited, African Art museum behind the Castle. Annapolis is worth your time. And if you are a history buff, do not miss Jamestown, Yorktown, and Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. Richmond, VA is also very interesting. The first Confederate capitol is located there. |

I definitely recommend that you make it all the way down the coast to Florida. Its really nice, with lotsa things to see and do, and a generally really great atmosphere. Orlando is great for theme parks (they have lots of them, inlcuding Disney World and Universal), Miami is awesome for beaches and shopping and of course theres the Everglades |
