Hi everyone,

Just finished university in April of this year and I came out to Europe in July... I stayed until August and decided to come back in September and travel for the better part of a year. I landed at Heathrow in September and i've been traveling around the UK quite a bit since then... Especially enjoyed Manchester and Nottingham. What should I do next? Any suggestions? I'm getting sort of bored of the UK and would like to start moving around in Europe as I feel comfortable to do so now. Before I came out here, I bought a EURAIL pass which I've not validated just yet... other than that, im thinking of booking flights with ryanair and other discount carriers. Do you think i'd have a problem getting back into the UK at about February to take a flight back to New York? Would US Customs be cynical of a Canadian passport holder arriving to the US by way of the UK? I plan to go back to Canada around Feb-March to get a holidaymaker visa... Another query would be, are my chances of getting this said visa difficult because of my stay in the UK? Would they know how long I stayed here before shipping out to another country and then back home?

Hey ydeezey,

Glad to see you're enjoying Europe. I'd suggest you head to Germany next if you want to a smooth transition from Canadian/UK culture. I have only good things to say about Bavaria, you're gonna want to see Bamberg, Regensburg (favorite city in the world), Munich, and Passau. By the time you're in Passau you can contiune into the Austrian alps and swing by Vienna.

As to the visa/travel complications... I don't suppose the Canadian or American governments would have a huge problem with a two month visit. If you can somehow prove that you didn't work while in the UK over the summer there is really nothing they can use to deny you your visa.

Have a great vacation.
Aaron
