four days ago i was in the kalahari desert at 44. i returned home to philadelphia last night to -4, tonight its -7. i completely sympathize with my friends in the midwest, f*#cking cold doesn't come close. please, sunshine, return to us soon!

It's worse when the sun's out! Brr! Although if you meant the summer sun, I agree.

M...m...m...m...minus 33C (-27F) this morning.....i...i...i...i....ick.

On the upside, the days are getting longer, and we have a heat wave coming up in 3 days......it'll be -2C for a high....yaayyyyyyyy.

So, who's up for a cold one? Beers on me.....

I know I should be thrilled that its already 14 F in philly, but somehow i just can't muster up any enthusiasm. Instead, i'll take that beer as long as it comes with a hot tub and heated towel racks.

This is the view through the dining room window. I know there's a back yard out there somewhere and it does make it difficult to see the penguins and polar bears...

Here's one for Michael:

We had our umpteenth watermain break today--this one flooding a huge street downtown. It looks like a big, frozen river! Finally found a pic of the mess. That's where I work in the background--we're watching the cleanup from the window...

Thanks Isa
I followed it a bit the last days.
And Tina, I heard that temperatures dropped to -35 or so in Montreal at night?
I think I can see you in that building by the way....you are checking TP....what would the boss say about that

A sunny 34 degrees celcius here today (Perth), so no complaints at all about that one!

And I must say this thread kept me very amused with all the talk of cold weather and snow, whilst I was sweating it out in the humidity of southern Vietnam & Cambodia over January!

I had about 28 degrees C and mainly sunny conditions the last 10 days or so, but it is not boring me at all haha.

I am on Pitcairn right now....and they haven't had rain for a few months now so it is quite dusty as well.
