Im flying into Vancoucer laround 20th October and am also trying to work out which ski resort to work and play at. From what i've heard and read so far, Im quite keen on heading to whistler. Its wona few awatds for best powder etc but more importantly the emplyoment / accomodation conditions for workers shouldnt be as bad as for the big-time ski fields like Whistler and the likes. Any thoughts? Where are you heading?
I don't know about Canada, but Lake Tahoe hires tons of South Africans and Australians on holiday. There are 15 different mountaints and they have great housing for their workers. You should check out the resorts around there. (And you'll be super close to San Francisco and Reno so going out on days off will be fun!)
