Are you sure you have to go through passport control to catch an international connection??? You're not actually entering the UK.

That said, you're cutting it a bit fine anyway. What if there is a delay from Brussels? Are you on the same airline to SA?

We just connected in Paris for a flight to Jo'burg, and had about an hour and a half to spare. I asked the Air Canada agent before we left if that was enough time, and she gave me the "oh, my goodness, yes" nod. About the only place you have to go back through customs when connecting is in the US, so you should be fine.

On the safe side, call your travel agent/connecting airport to see what the procedure is. If you don't have enough time, your travel agent/airline should be able to change your flight for free. In fact, an unannounced change had originally given us 20 minutes to make our connecting flight. One phone call and I had the hour-and-a-half buffer (and one less connection--YAY!).

You will need to clear security but yeah thats plenty of time. I fly between South America and London a lot and normally have around 50 mins to make my connection. Ask your air hostess on your first flight and she should be able to tell you what gate your next flight is departing from and point you in the right direction.

If you go to : http://www.heathrowairport.com > Airport Information > Flight connections It will tell you where to go (assuming youre going from Heathrow!)

Oh, this is you land and depart from the same airport as there are 5 Airports in/around London - if you have to switch airports youve got no chance!

Hope that helps
