Fastest Route-Amsterdam to Luxembourg City

hey all, im going to backpack a little bit around europe in january and am going to luxembourg city from amsterdam, but the problem is that the are no direct rail routes. seems like the only way is to go back through brussels and this way takes about 6.5 hours. anyone know of a quicker way of travel, other than renting a car or something. i have been looking for a bus line but havent found one yet. any help would be greatly appreciated.

other than thati highly doubt that anything will take longer than 6,5 hours... its not that close to holland. i mean it is in the general scheme of things but, ya know, its just that far. in a car itd be heaps less. but itd be expensive cos youd have to pay a one way fee etc

i say train it
