Hey everyone, im planning on a trip to central america for approx 5 weeks. The first 2 weeks my sister will be with me and we will be in Belize and Guatamala and i have a rough plan to see Caye Caulker, Tobacco Caye and Tikal. After that i really have no plans. Anyone know some really cool stuff to do? any recommendations? A friend of mine will likely be meeting me part way through the trip but we'd also be happy to meet others and share some stories and have a beer. Anyone else gonna be in that area around then? I plan on going right to Panama to fly home.

I´d stop in San Ignacio for a couple of days. There is a truly local operation that leads quite an adventurous yet nearby expedition through a cave hidden behind a waterfall that holds the ossified bones of several Mayans in situ. It really is neat. Great place to do some horseback riding too, if´n you like that kind of thing. Just check the horses over for me. If they look beat up or starving, tell the guy to blow. D |
