Phuket-good, cheap bungalows?

yo I will be in Phuket at the beginning of the year and I am looking for some good bungalows or hostels. I am traveling alone, I am 25 so I would prefer places where people my age congregate. not the 60 year old ex-pat hang out. thanks

If you want people your own age, I would suggest leaving Phuket behind. Most people that I saw in Phuket were middle aged, families, or couples. Sure there were a few young people around, but there's not too much of a 20-something backpacker scene. They tend to hang out in places like Koh Phagnan and Phi Phi to party, or Tao and Lanta to chillax.
